Turn Right
That’s basically it. When you first step into the DLC, and unlock your first site of grace on the Gravesite Plain, turn yourself east – or right, in this case – and head towards the trees.
In the small forest towards its center you’ll find Logur, The Beast Claw, stalking it like an animal, and dressed like one too in that he bears nothing more than a loincloth.
He’s Fast – Be Smarter
You’ll notice immediately that Logur is fast – fatally so. The Beast Claw allows him to get in multiple strikes that compound on one another and incur bleed damage.
He’ll also break your poise if you get caught behind your shield for too long. Your best bet is to match his speed with patience.
Because of his speed and ability to dodge, it’s unwise to go at him swinging a big heavy greatsword that takes too long to connect.
If you can connect with it then by all means, charge at him all you want especially if your poise level is such that it’s incredibly difficult to break it.
Barring that, it’s not the worst idea to stick to Torrent and attack him with ranged magic. Though if you want to face him head on, then be prepared for plenty of back-tracking and dodging.
He has an attack that you’ll come to know as the Ash of War for the Beast Claw called Savage Claws, which sees quick strikes in succession ending on a find big leaping finish.
It’s at this point you’ll get a good opportunity in for an attack. He also has a Flask of Crimson Tears that he’ll use once, and try to use a second time, so watch for those as two opportunities to strike.
If you can stun-lock him, that’s your best bet to an efficient win. Once he’s gone, you’ll be able to claim the Beast Claws for yourself, and put to use the same deadly speed Logur charged at you with.
