Deliver Us The Moon Dev Issues Plea To Publishers, Says It’s The Team’s ‘Last Resort’
It sounds like the team behind Deliver Us The Moon and Deliver Us Mars is in deep trouble right now. Today, developer KeokeN Interactive has issued an urgent investment plea for five planned games, three of which are “Deliver Us” titles.
The studio has apparently pitched these games 180 times in the past two years, and has still yet to find a publisher who will take them on. Now, the hope is that the Deliver Us community will spread the word as much as possible.
The five planned games are as follows:
- We Are Human, a philosophical thriller that emphasizes mind-bending combat and traversal. PC & Console.
- Deliver Us Home, a solitary astronaut experience about finding home. PC & Console.
- Deliver Us The Moon™: Huygens, an unsettling survival experience taking place during the Blackout. PC & Console.
- Deliver Us VR, an immersive astronaut experience that brings you back to the moon. VR headsets.
- Expeditions, a coop Soulslike top-down shooter featuring a rich narrative on Pangaea Proxima. PC & Console.
In a press release today, KeokeN Interactive co-founders Koen and Paul Deetman called the move “a last resort” and stated that the team isn’t willing to go down without a fight. Here’s the full quote we’ve received:
“After pitching these 5 games over 200 times with 40+ publishers, it was time to call upon our greatest strength: our community and network. It’s our last resort. We will not go down without a fight, and what better way than to fight with everything we’ve created.
“Our entire team has poured their heart and dedication into these games. The amount and diversity of these games are not the result of a lack of focus or vision. It’s a testament to our adaptability and to how hard we’ve tried to make it work during continually shifting winds and exceptionally hard times in the industry. More than anything else, we love and want to continue making games.”
Surely the studio will be able to find success with this method, as we’ve really enjoyed what’s been served up with Deliver Us The Moon and Deliver Us Mars. These are great games that deserve more sequels in the future!
