Xbox Exclusive Towerborne Will Prioritise Player Feedback With ‘Highly-Modifiable’ Systems
Xbox’s upcoming exclusive Towerborne, first announced at last year’s Xbox Games Showcase, will be coming to Xbox Series X|S this year. As previously mentioned, this side-scrolling action-adventure game is being created by the Banner Saga developer Stoic.
While we’ve already heard a bit about what to expect, Stoic’s co-founder and chief creative officer Arnie Jorgensen has now detailed a bit more about the game in a recent interview with GamesRadar+, explaining how it will include “highly-modifiable” systems to respond to player feedback and add a completely “fresh feeling” to the experience:
“I’ve worked for over a decade on MMO’s and it’s always been the Holy Grail of development to be able to take the feedback from players and then nimbly react with updates that legitimately change the game.”
“From the ground up, the map is designed to be highly-modifiable by the developers so we can quickly seed it with new enemies, bosses, crafting components, gear, weapons, biomes, game play modes and more… This whole system is new to the genre. And I think it’ll give a fresh feeling to the game.”
It’s further noted how seasonal content will lead to the narrative becoming episodic and this will continue to evolve the storyline of Towerborne.
This co-op experience will also include RPG elements with build-crafting and there are even some roguelike elements. You can learn more about Towerborne in our previous coverage here on Pure Xbox:
