AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR3) Will Work On Current-Gen Platforms
AMD might not be the leading company when it comes to the graphics cards you’ll slot into your desktop PC, but they do make the GPU’s that power all three current-gen consoles.
So it’s significant to find out that the new generation of its upscaling software AMD FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) will be compatible with the PS5 and other current-gen platforms.
AMD’s FSR3 was revealed as part of AMD’s Gamescom 2023 announcements, with a group of games that will be supporting it first.

With these first batch of games, it’ll be interesting to see the kinds of improvements this new technology will bring, especially as first impressions on the Gamescom floor seem to be positive.
It may not be NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, which is also coming out with a new generation of it titled NVIDIA DLSS 3.0, but it’s definitely impressive and for console players, the improvement of AMD’s FSR is what to look out for.
