The new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vehicles look wild

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s vehicles are a little more exciting now that we’ve actually had a proper look at them. While previous trailers hinted at new modes of transport, the latest gameplay demo from Aonuma himself showed how we actually get to ride them.

With the new ultrahand ability – another Sheikah Slate ability to expand the already massive videogame – Link can combine different items together to create a vehicle. Something like a fan attached to the back of three logs, for example, can get you across a lake.

We’ve highlighted all the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vehicles we’ve spotted so far down below, and while you wait for the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release date, why not pick up a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom pre-order, too? Then you’re bound to be ready for the big day.

You can check out some Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vehicles in the latest gameplay trailer below.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vehicles

We’ve seen an array of different Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom vehicles so far. There’s a Y-wing-looking raft with two fans on the back, a mean-looking rickety raft, a hot-air balloon, a cart attached to a horse, a flying machine, and a… literal rocket. Yes, you read that right. You can see shots of all of them below.

What is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ultrahand?

Ultrahand is the new system by which Link builds these various vehicles from various objects. There’s no way of telling how many different combinations there are – just like with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fusions – until we get our hands on the game.

Some of the vehicles (and vehicle-adjacent items) in the trailers clearly seem to be made by Link due to the glowing components holding them together, however, others may be found in the overworld. We’ll need to be patient to find out the ins and outs.

While we wait for the game to come out, we’ve also highlighted some of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdoms’ enemies, if that’s something you fancy. That’s all for now, however.
