‘Lost 255 Hours Of Progress’ – Forza Horizon 6 Players Warn Of Xbox & PC Saving Issue

There are a couple of things I want to make clear here – this doesn’t seem widespread in terms of the millions of people playing Forza Horizon 6, so don’t panic too much. There are plenty of posts to be found about the same issue for sure, but the vast majority of FH6 players should ultimately never run into this (we’re probably talking 95-99% of them).

That doesn’t make it any less severe for those who do encounter the saving issue though, and should you happen to be one of those people, my main suggestion is to check out the dedicated support page for “I’ve lost all my progress” on the Forza Support website. Follow those instructions, and you might be able to fix the problem yourself, or at least contact the team who will hopefully be able to restore your car collection.

And what about Quick Resume? Well, I know I spent yesterday telling you how much I’m loving it with Forza Horizon 6, and to be honest I think I’m happy to keep taking the risk, but you might want to disable it if you’re worried. There’s no proof this is a Quick Resume bug, but there’s certainly a fear that it might be adding to the issue.

Honestly, I wish I’d have known about this before waxing lyrical yesterday, but at least it’s brought the issue to my attention. Should you lose sleep over this? No. It’s unlikely to happen to you, but just be aware that it is a thing, and we’re all ultimately at the mercy of Xbox’s servers anyway – if only they’d provide a solution for backing up our saves to an external drive for safe keeping!
