Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Rageborn Unleashes Bloody Vengeance On PS5 In 2027

Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Rageborn is coming to PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S in 2027, Nacon and crea-ture Studios have announced.

Billed as a Metroidvania action-adventure romp, Werewolf: The Apocalypse— Rageborn sees your powers awakened after your eco-activist friend is brutally gunned down, revealing your true nature — a werewolf of immense powers, and champion of the Earth. This slingshots you on a quest for vengeance across Alaska that allows you to shift dynamically between three forms, namely Homid, Lupus, and Crinos. These abilities serve as the template for the game’s brutal combat system, as you battle against foes ranging from Lethe Lab grunts to Pentex machines and supernatural entitles, all of which are able to adapt to your fighting style.

Alaska makes for a vast interconnected location to explore, and you must evolve in order to explore all available paths on offer. As you grow in power, shifting forms and earn new gifts, you can access new traversal and combat abilities, thus allowing you to revisit and unlock previously unreachable areas. Furthermore, you won’t be alone in the fight: you can grow your Werewolf den by rescuing allies from enemies, adding them to your ranks and unlocking the option to craft and upgrade equipment.

My name is Louis Lamarche, I’m the creative director and president of crea-ture Studios. We’re a small indie studio based in Quebec, Canada, so I’m really excited to present to you our next game, which is called Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn. It’s an action adventure game based on Werewolf: The Apocalypse 5th Edition. The game is very inspired by classic action adventure, and what really inspired us to use the Werewolf: The Apocalypse brand was the fact that the character itself comes with his own Metroidvania elements due to his shape-shifting design.
