Tokyo Scramble free update brings improvements and discount

Tokyo Scramble is a survival puzzle-action game from Adglobe and Binary Haze Interactive. Initially released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 in February, the game got off to a rough start with some extremely mixed reviews. A new update is set to improve the experience.

The team has just released version 1.0.3, a free update featuring a wide range of gameplay improvements, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life features. These updates have been shaped by community input and designed to enhance the overall player experience.

Here’s what you can expect to find in the update:

  • Tweaked high-difficulty episodes to make progression smoother while keeping the challenge intact, with further improvements added to Episode 1
  • Refined Zino behavior, including adjustments to close-range detection
  • Upgraded the in-game music app for a better overall experience
  • Added new tutorial visuals to give players clearer guidance
  • Introduced in-game chat visibility for more interactive GameShare playthroughs
  • Implemented various minor bug fixes and performance improvements

To celebrate the update, Tokyo Scramble is on sale from now through to May 12, with 33% off the retail price. In the US, this brings the price down from $29.99 to $19.99.
