Trepang2 Is Now Live On Game Pass, Here’s How It Looks On Xbox Series X|S

As we mentioned back at the start of the week, single-player FPS Trepang2 is out today on Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate, Premium and PC subscribers, and we thought you might want to see how it looks on Series X and S!
This game sees you playing as an escaped soldier with supernatural abilities as you attempt to “give the bad guys a taste of their own medicine” by using your powers, engaging in melee combat and of course, wielding all manner of weapons. Trepang2 has a pretty impressive Metacritic average of 79 (for PC), while its Steam rating is “Very Positive” and US Xbox Store rating is 4.7/5 based on over 1,000 user reviews.
But how does it run on Xbox consoles? We’ve dragged up some footage from a couple of years ago via Fuzion Xbox Testing on YouTube to show this off, and as you can see from the videos down below, it looks pretty darn good on Series X and Series S, complete with a largely solid 60FPS across both systems.
If you’re still on the fence and not sure whether to try Trepang2 or not, we’ve seen a lot of people mentioning comparisons to the likes of FEAR, Crysis and even DOOM Eternal on the Xbox Store, so if you like any of those games, it sounds like it’s at least worth a try on Xbox Game Pass.
Something that’s also worth keeping in mind is that Trepang2 is both “Handheld Optimised” (making it perfect for the ROG Xbox Ally) and an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning that if you end up buying it, you’ll get the PC version for free.
We’ll leave you with more details about Trepang2 down below, along with some screenshots.
