New Ring Name For NXT Star To Avoid Confusion With WWE Star, AAA Action Figures, Cena/Rock, Randy Orton

– WWE’s partnership with Mattel is expanding in an interesting direction. The company has reportedly been cleared to begin producing figures tied to WWE’s AAA brand, opening the door for a fresh wave of talent to be represented in toy form. Among those expected to lead the charge is Mr. Iguana, who is said to be the first name prioritized for inclusion in the upcoming line. As things stand, the current target is for these AAA-related figures to hit shelves sometime this fall.
– A recently surfaced trademark filing made by WWE with the United States Patent and Trademark Office has led to some clarity regarding a potential name change. WWE filed with the USPTO this week for the name “EK Prosper,” which quickly sparked speculation among fans about who it could be intended for. The name “EK Prosper” is slated for NXT Superstar Eli Knight. Internally, there had reportedly been concern that “Eli Knight” was too close to “LA Knight,” especially given LA Knight’s past use of the Eli Drake name earlier in his career. As a result, the shift to “EK Prosper” is being positioned as a way to better distinguish the two moving forward.
