“When You’re About To Be Homeless Because The Booker Doesn’t Think You’re Worth The Money …”

Willie Mack is clearing the air after a series of social media posts sparked confusion about his AEW status.
The veteran wrestler raised eyebrows on Tuesday night when he posted a message that led many to believe he had parted ways with the company.
In the tweet, Mack expressed frustration over his situation, writing, “When ya boy is about to become a homeless superhero because the booker doesn’t think he’s worth the money.”
He didn’t stop there.
Mack followed up by shedding more light on his experience over the past couple of years, adding, “It’s like for 2 years straight I’d call every week and ask if you got anything for me? You signed right? You still getting paid right? I want to Wrestle.”
Naturally, the posts quickly made the rounds online, with several outlets interpreting the comments as a sign that Mack was no longer with AEW.
That, however, is not the case.
Responding directly to a report about his status, Mack shut down the speculation with a blunt reply, stating, “Wrong. Still there.”
Short and to the point.
Mack also pushed back on a fan who claimed he was only working under a per-appearance agreement rather than being signed to a full AEW deal, indicating that assumption was also incorrect.
Despite remaining under contract, Mack’s run with AEW has been limited. He has only wrestled sporadically during his time with the promotion, with most of his appearances coming under the ROH banner rather than on AEW television.
