Rumour – Resident Evil 10 Aiming For 2029 Release Window

We’re less than two weeks from the anticipated release of Resident Evil Requiem and rumours are already swirling as to what the release window could be for the next mainline title in the franchise that refuses to be laid to rest. (Thankfully.)
Coming courtesy of series insider Dusk Golem on X, the current plan appears to be 2029, outside of any unforeseen delays that might see it slip into 2030 or even 2031:
(1/2) Not confirmed officially no, but I’ve heard pretty reliably Resident Evil Requiem has DLC that’s further along in dev. RE9 got delayed in dev a few times, Apocalypse was aiming for 2023, then Requiem was aiming for 2025, delayed to 2026. As such, the “gap” between RE9 &
(2/2) RE”10″ (though likely won’t be called that) is a bit shorter than usual (presuming RE10 doesn’t get delayed too, it’s right now aiming for a 2029 release date, but could be delayed to 2030, 2031 at worst, up to the whims of game dev), & DLC for RE9 has had time to cook.
Despite the rumoured target date of 2029, it’s likely that we won’t have to wait until then to get our next Resident Evil fix – that is, after Requiem, which is shaping up to be something special indeed – what with the persistent rumours of remakes bridging the gap between it and 10.
If the word on the street is to be believed, a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica is up first, followed then by a remake of Resident Evil 0, often considered to be the black sheep of the mainline console entries. If proven true, it’ll be particularly interesting to see how Capcom revisits both given their status as flawed gems within the series.
