Red Dead Redemption 2 Enhanced Edition Still Set For 2026 Launch, Claims Insider

Leake NateTheHate has claimed in a post on X that the long-rumoured Red Dead Redemption 2 Enhanced Edition is still set to launch in 2026.
When asked on the social media platform is he knew whether the enhanced edition of the critically acclaimed 2018 Wild West title had been pushed into 2027. In response, he said that as far as he’s aware, there are plans to release the game “this year.”
Red Dead Redemption 2 Enhanced Edition (or whatever it ends up being called) has been doing the rounds for quite a few years at this point. Back in May last year, GameReactor reported that a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade of the open-world epic is in the works alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 release.
Fast-forward to October last year, and speculation started kicking up a notch after the Steam description for Red Dead Redemption 2 was altered, which suggested that Rockstar was preparing for a re-release of the game. The following month, publisher Take-Two announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 had passed a major sales milestone, reaching 79 million copies worldwide.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launched for PS4 and Xbox One back in October 2018. The game takes place in the United States in 1899, with players following outlaw and Van der Linde gang member, Arthur Morgan, who finds himself facing the decline of the Old West while battling rival gangs and surviving against against government forces.
