The Division Executive Producer Julian Gerighty Has Departed Ubisoft For Battlefield Studios

The Division series executive producer, Julian Gerighty, is leaving Ubisoft to join up with EA’s Battlefield Studios, Massive Entertainment has announced.

“While we’ll miss him, his mark will live on at Massive and we’ll continue to bring the world he’s been part of creating to our players for years to come,” Ubisoft said in a statement. “Our teams who built this world with Julian are still here, carrying it forward with an ambitious, unchanged commitment for the future of The Division 2, The Division 2: Survivors, The Division Resurgence, and The Division.”

Speaking in his own statement, Gerighty commented :

It’s time for me to hang up my go bag (keeping the watch) as I go on another grand adventure. The Division future burns bright, and I can’t wait for you to discover what the teams have been working on. Long live The Division and Godspeed!

Only last week, Gerighty spoke about the upcoming The Division 3, confirming it was still in the works and is “shaping up to be a monster.”

In addition to working as executive producer on The Division series, Gerighty was also the creative director on Star Wars Outlaws, which was released back in 2024. A month after the game’s release, he expressed his disappointment in the response to Star Wars: Outlaws among critics, and in an effort to turn things around, Ubisoft appointed a new creative director on the project later in 2024.
