El Clon vs. Angelico
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show and then we head down to the ring for our first match of the evening. Kicking things off in our first match of the evening is the debut of El Clon. He makes his way to the ring for one-on-one action against Angelico.
The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this opener. Angelico looks for wrist control but Clon rolls out of it and reverses. Clon flips to his feet so Angelico dances a little, and Clon kicks him in the back. Nice lariat from Clon.
We see a series of strikes in the corner, step up moonsault, spring-boarding with one foot to the top rope. Tornado DDT springing off the bottom rope. Clon is on fire. Big right hand chop. Angelico fires back, looks for a leg trip but Clon jumps over it.
A big Pele kick from Clon. Tilt-a-whirl double knee backbreaker. El Clon with the Portal Bomb for the pin and the quick victory in his AEW debut. Afterwards, he attacks Serpentico as he was checking on Angelico. Komander hits the ring to run him off.

Backstage With Jon Moxley
After the in-ring opener and post-match scene hit the rear view mirror, we shift gears and shoot backstage where we see Jon Moxley. He asks what do you get when you take a dozen of the hungriest wrestlers, stick them in a blender for a month in the Continental Classic?
He says pressure creates diamonds. Broken bones, disappointment, the thrill of the win. This is like nothing else in pro wrestling. This is something with a very high price tag. When Moxley stands in the ring with Benjamin, he’s top of the list of baddest dudes he’s ever stepped in the ring with.
‘Timeless’ Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa vs. Maya & Hyan World
Next up is the music of the Timeless Love Bombs, as they make their way out after Luther, who came out first.
Next up is is the music of the newest signees in Maya and Hyan World, as they make their way down to the ring to a nice reaction.

She leaps off with a big cross body on both Maya and Hyan on the floor! (Mina almost lost her balance and Storm kept her from falling. The commentary team improvised well to play it off on how dangerous it is up there. On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

Alexander tells Hechicero to go out there now and beat Komander so he can go on to meet Mark Briscoe for that TNT title opportunity. Archer launches a guy through the ceiling and reminds us that everybody dies!
TNT Championship Eliminator
Komander vs. Hechicero
Hechicero levels Komander with a shoulder tackle, and they trade quick pinfall attempts. Feeling out process. Hechicero goes for the leg and hooks the ankle behind him, perhaps a Stretch Muffler, but Komander sits up, tijeras to escape! Oooof that was delightful.
Hechicero spills to the floor. Komander tries to jump over Hechicero, Hechicero grabs the leg to cut that off, and smashes the knee into the canvas. Komander up, hops the ropes a little and hits a hurracanrana. Hechicero ties Komander up on the mat now, working over the arm.
Komander kicks out of it, flips into an impressive arm drag, good Lord! Springboard into a tijeras but NO Hechicero puts the brakes on and POWERBOMBS him into the guard rail. Hechicero sits Komander on a chair at ringside and boots him into the railing. They work back into the ring, where Hechicero goes for the mask, you absolute villain.

Dropkick to the knee from Komander. Poisonrana. He goes up top as Hechicero is face down on the mat. But El Clon is here to shove Komander off the top rope! Ref didn’t see it. Rising knees from Hechicero, and he rolls Komander into a tight cradle for the 1, 2, 3.
Winner: Hechicero
Backstage With Max Caster & Anthony Bowens
*We catch up with Max Caster and Antony Bowens over the last few weeks. Caster is adamant that he’s not gay but Bowens says he’s been such a good ally so when he thinks of the word gay he thinks of Caster.
They do a scavenger hunt together in NY as a team building exercise. Caster keeps using hand sanitizer. Caster says they’re not partners and Bowens screams that it’s not happening.
Eddie Kingston & Ortiz Reconnect
Tony Schiavone is in the middle of the ring and he brings Eddie Kingston out for a chat. Eddie comes out with Ortiz! Eddie has fun messing with the crowd and he’s happy as his boy is back. Backstage With Grizzled Young Veterans
Grizzled Young Veterans are backstage talking about Ortiz running with his best friend Eddie Kingston. GYV see through both of them. They are two down and dirty NY street rats. They are not done with them by a longshot.
They will make their names in AEW at Eddie and Ortiz’s expense. Drake says when they target that surgically repaired leg, how much of a hero is Kingston really? How much of a good Samaritan is Ortiz? They’ll see soon.
Shelton Benjamin vs. Dante Martin
Dante Martin hasn’t had many singles opportunities in AEW as of late so this is a pretty big deal for him. Benjamin and Martin shake hands as the bell rings. Benjamin tosses Martin with ease early on. Daniels gives some advice to Martin before he re-enters the ring.
Clothesline attempt doesn’t work, tijeras does! Dropkick connects, and Martin goes for a dive but Benjamin comes right back in to cut him off with a shoulder tackle. Enziguri from Martin, tries some fancy rope work but Benjamin simply shoves him off the top into the barricade below.
Daniels and the medical staff check on Dante as we head to commercial. MVP grabs a mic and tells Martin to be smart and take the countout. Martin grabs the mic…and he tells Shelton that his momma didn’t raise a b*tch, did Shelton’s?
Benjamin snaps and launches himself at Martin, bringing him back in the ring, and a back elbow levels Martin. To their feet, Martin tries a crossbody, is caught and Shelton drops him with a rib breaker. We see a replay from commercial with MVP and Dante’s brief mic work.

MVP Has Something To Say
*MVP takes the mic, and asks for applause for the ‘young lion’ Dante Martin. Martin stepped up tonight. Benjamin goes over and shakes his hand, lifting him to his feet. MVP says it’s time to get down to business. He wants applause for the standard of excellence Shelton Benjamin.
The fans oblige. Benjamin doesn’t need talking up, we already know he’s one of the best. MVP wants to talk about what Moxley is and is not. Moxley wants to make a revolution, well they just want to make money. MVP knows Moxley likes pain and likes to bleed but he’s not the apex predator, Shelton is.
Moxley will get punched, kicked, tossed around on Wednesday and there’s nothing he can do about it. Shelton is way more dangerous than Mox is. MVP says they don’t have resolutions, there is no ‘new them’. Moxley will get hurt badly this week. MVP says Moxley will lose on Wednesday because they hurt people.
Backstage With Sammy Guevara & Bandido
*Sammy Guevara asked for face to face time with Bandido backstage, hosted by Lexy Nair. Sammy is supposed to watch at the sidelines after Bandido took out Rush? Guevara is challenging Bandido next week.
He says he’s going to do something so heinous that he takes Bandido’s place. Bandido asks why he’s so angry, all he had to do was ask? Bandido says he’s got it, Sammy Guevara vs Bandido next week.
Stokely Hathaway Injury Update
*Stokely Hathaway is apparently injured, and Tony Schiavone reads us the update from Stokely himself. Stokely appreciates the thoughts and prayers, and people who mocked him are dead to him.
He’s been so courageous they call him Little Lashley. His medical bills have surpassed over $400K so please find it in your hearts to donate.
