How to get The Forge’s demonic pickaxe
A workperson is only as good as their tools, as they say, which is why you need to grab The Forge’s demonic pickaxe. It’s easily one of the best pickaxes in the game, but that means it’s not the easiest bit of equipment to get. Where is The Forge demonic pickaxe?
The demonic pickaxe is waiting for you in the Demonic Pickaxe Room, which is located in the Volcanic Depths in the Forgotten Kingdom. Sounds simple, right? Well, things are about to get tricky, as you need to go on a little adventure to reach the area.
How do I get The Forge demonic pickaxe?
Now that we know where it is, it’s time to get into how you actually get there. Firstly, you need to use the portal tool to unlock the Forgotten Kingdom, which you can only do after completing the tutorial quests and reaching level ten. After that, you can run or use the canon near the spawn zone to reach the Ruined Caves. Once you go inside, turn right, walk up the ramp, and keep going until you reach the Ashen Passage – soon, you’ll come across the magma pickaxe next to two basalt veins in a hole in the ground.
You must have a pickaxe with at least 78 damage to break them and continue through until you reach the Volcanic Depths. A word of caution for the next area, you’ll encounter enemies like Blazing Slimes and Elite Rogue Skeletons, but you can avoid them if you feel you can’t take them on in combat. Just keep pushing forward, and you’ll end up in front of a locked door – this is the entrance to the Demonic Pickaxe Room.
You’re going to need to track down the demonite key in order to open the door, which you get from Demon Skal after giving him three demonite ores. You can find the NPC in the Volcanic Depths, so he’s not too far away. In fact, you probably saw him on your way in. To get The Forge ore that you need, you just need to mine the volcanic rocks in the Volcanic Depths, so you don’t need to leave the area to find them. However, demonite ore has an incredibly low drop rate, so you may want to come equipped with some luck-boosting items.
After you get the key from Demon Skal, you can open the door and head inside, where you’ll see the demonic pickaxe atop a black throne.
How much is The Forge demonic pickaxe?
The demonic pickaxe costs a whopping $500k. You can purchase it as soon as you approach it, but getting that much money can be very time-consuming – we strongly suggest you embark on all of The Forge quests that you can to rake in the cash. Of course, mining is also a great way to get money.

However, the grind to get the $500k you need can be tedious, demonite ore is very rare, and you need a pickaxe with high mining power to even get the demonic pickaxe, so it’s probably worth investing in some other tools before going for this one.
