Let It Die: Inferno Development Used A Lot Of Generative AI, Confirms Game’s Steam Listing

The Steam page for Let It Die: Inferno has confirmed that the Supertrick Games-developed actioner has been produced with a heap of generative AI.
“AI-generated content has been used and then edited by our team for certain parts of the in-game voices, music, and graphics,” it reads. The content reportedly includes background signboard textures, records illustrations, info cast videos, plus voices and music.
Original Let It Die creator Grasshopper Manufacture is not involved in the development of this sequel, although Supertrick Games did serve as co-developer of the original game. Regardless, the use of AI in video games is now becoming more commonplace than ever, so much so that Epic Games’ Tim Sweeney has suggested that disclosures such as the above are no longer needed for games.

As for Let It Die: Inferno, the game has players duking it out against grisly creatures, other players, and enemy factions alike in blood-pumping encounters. Set against the backdrop of a struggling humanity, which has been left on its last legs following the cataclysmic event known as Earth Rage, Let It Die: Inferno injects a roguelike survival action flavour into the proceedings, which differs from the foundations of its predecessor.
GungHo Online Entertainment will publish Let It Die: Inferno for PS5 and PC on December 3, 2025.
