Far Cry 7 Images And Details Reportedly Leak, Reveals Mission Names & Lush Paradise Park Setting

Images purported to be the long-rumoured Far Cry 7 have surfaced online from X user Rouge ITX, a known dataminer for XDefiant, that has resulted in a number of key details emerging on Ubisoft’s upcoming sequel.

While nothing is official yet and we can’t confirm if they are indeed from Far Cry 7, the leaker claims that the new game will take place in Alaska, specifically in an area known as Paradise Park, which is ripe with lush vegetation and temples. A number of mission names have also surfaced, including Airspace, NASA HQ, Verizon Centre, and JFK Centre.

Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming however suggests that some of the images are from a cancelled build of Far Cry 7 known as Project Talisker, specifically a multiplayer mode.

Back in December 2024 it was reported on Insider Gaming that Far Cry 7 and Codenamed Maverick, which is believed to be an Extraction shooter set in the Far Cry universe, were delayed internally to 2026. However, Rogue I TX has revealed on X that the Extraction mode is part of the Far Cry 7 package, not a separate release; Tom Henderson had previously claimed this was the case, but were later made separate projects.

This latest report does however reiterate previous reports that Far Cry 7 is utilising the Snowdrop Engine, and it is claimed that the Extraction Mode will include wildlife and vehicles. Again, this all ties in with what Henderson said about the game’s Extraction shooter, back when it was a separate project.

While it would seem that the games have now been combined into one (Extraction serving as a game mode within Far Cry 7), Henderson has suggested it is possible Extraction may yet be cancelled – implying it is a standalone offering still.

Speaking of the new game, images of Far Cry 7 posted on Reddit appear to showcase some of the game’s villains. Henderson’s report from last December also mentioned a basic plot outline for the title, which will apparently have players attempting to rescue their family within a 72-hour in-game time limit.

Take all this with a pinch of salt as Ubisoft hasn’t announced anything on Far Cry 7 or a rumoured Extraction shooter.
