Microsoft Shares Initial List Of ROG Xbox Ally Games That Support Advanced Shader Delivery
With ROG Xbox Ally now out in the wild, Microsoft is bringing its PC and console gaming tech closer together – and as part of the team’s October 2025 Update, an initial list of ROG Xbox Ally games that support ‘Advanced Shader Delivery’ has been shared.
If you keep up with PC gaming at all (we admit that we’re not super well versed in all of this stuff), you’ll have probably heard of — or even seen — games that ‘compile shaders’ before they launch on Windows. This can be quite a lengthy process depending on the game in question, and Microsoft has introduced this new Advanced Shader Delivery tech to make the whole experience smoother on ROG Xbox Ally.
Here’s the initial list of games that support the technology:

- Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced

- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Xbox says that this feature “preloads game shaders during download, so select games launch up to 10x faster, run more smoothly, and use less battery on first play”. In theory this sounds like a solid addition for ROG Xbox Ally users, and we hope the team continues to roll this out to more titles in the near future.
Speaking of, Microsoft closes out this section of its October 2025 Update by saying that “more titles are coming soon”. We’ll be on the lookout for those – and in the meantime, a general overview on this month’s update is available down below, alongside some of what else is coming to ROG Xbox Ally in 2025 and 2026.
