Fortnite’s Simpsons Crossover Is A Success, So Isn’t It Time For A Hit & Run Remake?
Well, The Simpsons have arrived in Fortnite! The latest crossover for the ridiculously popular free-to-play battle royale has brought tons of players to the game since it went live on November 1st, and we’re not surprised to be honest.
We’ve been waiting so many years for The Simpsons to make a proper appearance in a console video game, and while Fortnite won’t appeal to everyone, there’s also Rocket League – a crossover in that game also began on November 1st.
It’s Fortnite that’s getting the most attention right now though, with the game having shot up in popularity over the past few days. Fan feedback for the crossover seems to have been really positive overall as well.
So, it’s got to be time for a Simpsons Hit & Run remake or remaster, right? Fans of the show have been asking for this for decades, and there’s even been a spike in requests for it – we noticed it trending on Google over the weekend.
It’s been mentioned how licensing issues make certain things very difficult with The Simpsons, but this is a game that would print money on a massive scale. It might be difficult, but we think they’ll find a way to make it happen eventually.
In the meantime, people are even making mods to put Futurama in The Simpsons: Hit & Run!
