Isometric Survival Horror Game I Hate This Place Locked For Jan. 29 On PS5

Broken Mirror Games has announced that survival horror romp I Hate This Place will come to PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S on January 29, 2026. The game was originally pencilled in for release n November 7, 2025.
Speaking on the new date, Rock Square Thunder Game Director, Janusz Tarczykowski, commented:
We had a lot of good feedback gathered from events like PAX, Gamescom, Tokyo Gameshow, and then from our recent public demo on Steam. The vision for the game stays the same, but this feedback highlighted a few tweaks or features that would really help the game feel just that much better. As we got closer and closer to release, we had to keep moving many of these additions to post-launch support.

But we feel the game deserves to make a good first impression so we rethought things and together with Broken Mirror Games decided to move the date to January 2026. We know it’s last-minute, but we hope fans will understand. We’re doing a multiplatform launch, so if we want to get these changes in and tested on all versions, we’d need a few more weeks.
I Hate This Place plucks inspiration from the award-winning comic book series masterminded by Kyle Sharks and Artyom Topilin, and fuses retro comic book aesthetic with a helping of 80s flair. The game is a craft-based horror romp set in a cursed land populated by reality-ending nightmares and grotesque creatures, with players having to fight to stay alive by scavenging resources, building key objects, and confronting the otherworldly foes that grow more menacing as night falls.
