Silent Hill 2 Remake Has Been Rated For Xbox Series X|S In The US

Earlier this month, the PS5 exclusivity window for Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 Remake finally expired – and a new ESRB Rating suggests that the game’s Xbox release is imminent.

Yep, Silent Hill 2 has now been rated for Xbox Series consoles, with the ESRB giving the game an expected Mature 17+ rating. There’s no release date attached its Xbox rating, but given that PlayStation’s timed exclusivity expired in early October, we’d expect to see it fairly soon.

As for when we might see it announced? Well, it’s looking like Konami has missed the Halloween boat now – but fear not, an Xbox showing might not be far off. According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, Microsoft is hosting an Xbox Partner Preview event in November – featuring “third-party titles of all shapes and sizes”. If this happens, there’s a good chance Silent Hill 2 shows up there, we reckon.

What’s more, Corden also claims that next month’s showcase “will feature almost entirely Xbox Play Anywhere titles” – and with Silent Hill F recently added to the program, that’s another pointer towards SH2 potentially appearing there next month. We’ll know for sure very soon anyway, with the Bloober Team remake finally rated for Xbox Series X|S.
