Assassin’s Creed Shadows Roadmap Confirms Parkour Update 2 For Oct. 28, New Story Quest Arriving In November

Ubisoft has announced details on the next phase of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows roadmap, which will see two major content drops before the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game on December 2, 2025.

First up is the Parkour Update 2 on October 28, which will add features such as Eject to Void, Catch-Ledge Mechanic, Side Eject on Parkour Down, and Non-Standing Object Manual Jump. Meanwhile, the Corrupted Castles arrives on the same day and is an Animus-themed activity that sees any previously completed castle possibly corrupted and packed with Animus anomalies, such as Samurai Dash and accompanying reward chests. Up to five of these Corrupted Castles can appear on the map each season.

The 3rd story drop is coming your way on November 25th, and it’s called “A Puzzlement”. This quest has a much more humorous, silly tone, much more akin to something like AC Odyssey, in which we are digging up old foes from Naoe’s past who are looking for a bit of redemption. Our two protagonists will learn new skills from each other:

  • Naoe will learn how to perform her own spectacular version of Yasuke’s war kick ability.

  • Yasuke will learn how to stealthily dispatch enemies in a non-lethal way.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on March 20, 2025. You can read our full review here.
