Netflix Unveils Full-Length Trailer For The Witcher Season 4, Starring Liam Hemsworth As Geralt

The first full-length trailer for The Witcher Season 4 has been debuted today by Netflix, which features Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt from Henry Cavill.

The official blurb is as follows:

After the Continent-altering events of Season Three, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge, and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good…. The Witcher: Season 4 returns to Netflix October 30th.

The original season of The Witcher for Netflix featured eight episodes, and premiered in December 2019 and was based on the short stories The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny. The second series debuted in December 2021, and took inspiration from the short story Blood of Elves, while the third season premiered in June 2023 and featured eight episodes. With the fourth season coming this month, The Witcher will also receive a fifth and final season after being renewed in April 2024.

In related news, CD Projekt RED is working on the next chapter in The Witcher video game franchise, The Witcher IV, which will not be released until 2027 at the earliest.
