Battlefield 6 Preload Date Moves Forward To October 3 On PS5 & PC

Battlefield 6 is launching next month on PC and consoles, and those of you who are purchasing the digital version can of course preload ahead of release. However, it’s now been revealed by MP1st that the preload date has been moved forward to October 3, 2025.

The preload date for Battlefield 6 was originally set for October 8, two days ahead of the game’s release on October 10. Previously, Battlefield 6 offered players a chance to test drive the shooter with an Open Beta, which publisher Electronic Arts later confirmed was the biggest in the series’ history.

Last month, it was reported that Call of Duty publisher Activision was keeping an eye on Battlefield 6 due to the long-standing rivalry between both franchises, but ultimately isn’t concerned about the new title as it feels Call of Duty is ‘too big to fail.’ Despite this, ex-Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra has stated that he feels Battlefield 6 will ‘boot stomp‘ this year’s Call of Duty game.

Back in August of this year, Michael Pachter, an analyst with Wedbush Morgan Securities, stated that he was informed by Battlefield’s general manager, Bryon Beede, that EA is keen for the franchise to adopt an annual release schedule, although this won’t be for a few years yet.
