Dead Island Continuation Confirmed Beyond Dead Island 2
The Dead Island X account has confirmed that a new entry in the franchise is in the works while also announcing that 20 million Dead Island 2 slayers have been dragged into Hell-A. This doesn’t confirm that the Dead Island 2 game has sold 20 million units, but most likely indicates that 20 million people have played the game across various platforms, including PlayStation Plus Extra Games Catalog and Microsoft Game Pass.
14 years ago Dead Island made its gory debut. Today, Dead Island 2 has dragged 20 million Slayers into the sunny chaos of HELL-A. The next outbreak? Dambuster is already drenched in the work. The journey is far from over…
Dead Island 2 was released two years ago after a very troubled development cycle. It was announced back in 2014, and it took almost ten years to finally get the game released after it had changed developers multiple times.
Yager Development was originally behind the project, but development was moved to Sumo Digital. Their time was spent short on the project, and development was moved again to Dambuster, who eventually released the game to critical success.
