What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 6-7)

Welcome to your first weekend of September! We’ve had a few more Xbox Game Pass drops in the last few days, including the much-anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong, which we reckon a good few of you will be checking out this weekend…

Here’s what we’re playing over the next few days:

Hollow Knight: Silksong would probably kick my ass more than I’d like to admit, and with it not really being my type of game, I doubt I’ll be playing it on XGP this weekend. Instead, I’ll probably be continuing with Indiana Jones: The Order of Giants – I’m intrigued to see everything the new DLC has to offer following on from the main experience last December.

Elsewhere, to be totally honest, it’ll probably be more Gears Reloaded multiplayer for me. I’ve been sick this past week so I haven’t played it as much as I’d like – I really want to get back out there and scratch some grubs. I’ll see you at the sniper pick-up on Gridlock, fellow Gearheads.

Hollow Knight admittedly isn’t really my kind of thing either, so it’s going to be more of a sports weekend for me – NHL 26 and NBA 2K26. I’ve already played quite a bit of NHL and it’s been fun yet familiar, while I’m terrible at 2K but very enticed by everything it has to offer – just wandering around the City and playing casual pickup games is enough for me!

Anything else? Well, maybe – I’m really tempted to jump back into MindsEye again following its recent update. I know it’s not the best game ever, but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far, and the update should make it a lot more stable.
