Gears Of War Reloaded Hits 1 Million Players Worldwide
The Coalition has announced that Gears of War Reloaded has reached one million players worldwide since the game’s launch on August 26, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
“Ending the console war, one grub at a time. Thank you for 1 million players,” the game’s official X account reads.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past 19 years or so, Gears of War coming to the PS5 is a pretty big deal, as up until now it’s been exclusive to Xbox consoles as one of Microsoft’s tentpole franchises. Beyond Reloaded, The Coalition is also working on a brand new entry, Gears of War: E-Day, which is a prequel that depicts the early days of the Locust attack on Sera, as Marcus Fenix and his buddies struggle to fight back against the subterranean threat.

Gears of War Reloaded builds on the foundations of Gears of War Ultimate Edition, which itself is a remaster of the original 2006 cover-based shooter. The game features spruced up visuals and frame rate, all previously released DLC, and 120 FPS support for the multiplayer mode, while Cross-Progression and Cross-Play is also available via a Microsoft Account.
