What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 16-17)

Welcome to another weekend on Xbox! There’s plenty to be going at over the next few days, including another round of the Battlefield 6 Beta – free for all players on the platform.

Here’s what we’re playing this weekend:

As we’ve just mentioned, I’ll be playing some more Battlefield 6 this weekend for sure. The first beta period was a blast, and the team has confirmed that more maps and modes will be added for its second wave. I’m pretty excited to jump back in!

A couple of this week’s Xbox Game Pass additions are also tempting me back in. Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a blast and despite already owning it, the influx of new Game Pass players is making me want to give it another try. I’ve been meaning to play Hellblade 2 since its release last year as well, so that 60FPS mode might be the way to go. I’ll see if I get chance with that one…

I’ve got a busy weekend ahead so I might not be playing much, but I’m still very tempted to pick up Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster as part of the current Capcom sale – even though I’ve not really touched the Xbox One version from 2016!

Slopecrashers has been in my rotation as well recently (it’s like Snowboard Kids on N64) so I’ll probably be dipping into that, and away from Xbox, I’m tempted to pick up that Tiny Bookshop game for Nintendo Switch that’s been dominating the charts over there. Let’s hope we see that one on Xbox at some point in the future.
