Razer’s Pokémon x Gengar headset begins rolling out in China (UPDATE)
Back in July, Pokémon Co. announced that they were teaming with Razer to release a series of Gengar-themed computer accessories. The lineup included a headset, mouse and desk mat, and the headset has finally seen release in China as of this week.
As far as we know, this Gengar series of Razer accessories is only going to be available in China, as no announcements have been made for worldwide release. Of course, this doesn’t sit well with Pokémon fans at all, and they’re trying to hunt down the goodies through other methods. That has those diehards turning to places like eBay and AliExpress to pick up the items, with a huge markup, of course.
The Gengar headset is the final item in the Razer lineup, meaning the full set of accessories is now available in China. Some are hoping that Razer and Pokémon Co. will announce a worldwide release now that the accessory lineup is complete, but again, there’s no evidence of that right now. Keep those fingers and toes crossed though, as you never know what’ll happen.
UPDATE 8/13/25: It appears patience from Pokemon fans is finally about to pay off. Razer has officially teased the Gengar headset for release outside of China, and it appears we can expect full details on Aug. 19th, 2025. This information came via a social media post that you can check out below. (h/t Nintendowire)
