Lazlow Jones Doubts He’ll Be In Grand Theft Auto VI

Lazlow Jones has revealed during an interview with Nerd Reactor that he’s doubtful he’ll be appearing in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, having appeared in numerous titles in the franchise since Grand Theft Auto III.

We left in 2020, so I doubt it. I loved working on those games with Dan (Houser) and I was on the radio in GTA 3 and all the GTAs after that, and it was an amazing journey, working on GTA for 20 years. It’s got that creative vibe and grit that reminds me of those early years at Rockstar, where we’re working on a lot of different projects, and everyone’s throwing in ideas. We’re working on stuff that makes us laugh, you know?

Lazlow started out as a DJ in GTA III and also appeared in Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories, the latter where he served as an intern for V-Rock radio. His role was expanded in GTA IV when he had his own radio station and interviewed various people in and around Liberty City, and in GTA V, he was given a proper on-screen role where he appeared in a couple of missions.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 26, 2026. Recently, analyst Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan Securities said that he believes the game will retail for $100, and it has been reported that Rockstar Games is getting a helping hand from Sony engineers to have the game up and running at 60 FPS on PS5 Pro.
