Grand Theft Auto VI Price Expected To Hit $100, Says Analyst Michael Pachter
Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter has joined the growing chorus of folk who believe Grand Theft Auto VI will retail for $100.
I expect a $100 price point for the game. The game will be immensely profitable. It will likely generate $10 billion lifetime and another $500 million annually from GTA Online.
In addition, Pachter feels that development costs for Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated crime opus will reach $1.5 billion. Meanwhile, Louise Woolridge of Ampere Analysis added that GTA 6 is “probably the most anticipated game of all time. We can expect it to be one of the most expensive games ever made.”

As previously reported, Josh Chapman of venture capital firm Konvoy predicted that GTA VI will pull in an eye-watering $7.6 billion in revenue during its first 60 days on sale. It’s also been claimed that Sony engineers are helping Rockstar Games achieve 60 FPS for GTA VI on the PS5 Pro.
Back in January, analyst Matthew Ball revealed that there is “hope” within the games industry that GTA VI will cost up to $100, which in turn may cause other studios to bump up the cost of their games as development costs continue to rise. Grand Theft Auto VI is slated for release on May 26, 2026.
