Wild Hearts S dev team shows interest in making a sequel
Koei Tecmo originally brought Wild Hearts to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2023. The game garnered pretty positive reviews across the board, and it seemed to do somewhat well for the company. That said, it didn’t exactly become an industry juggernaut or reach the full audience Koei Tecmo thought possible.
One way Koei Tecmo is looking to spread the word on the title is with Wild Hearts S, an enhanced version of the game that recently launched for Switch 2. This version supports 4-player co-op and packs in all the DLC the original game received. There’s even a demo on the Switch 2 eShop you can try right now. All in all, it seems like the port has been a quality effort and hopefully it’ll drive more players to give the franchise a shot.
If Wild Hearts S does help the title become a bigger success and expand the audience, Koei Tecmo has made it clear they’d like to work on a follow-up. In a chat with Famitsu, director Takuto Edagawa and producer Kotaro Hirata stopped short of confirming a sequel, but made it very clear that they’d like to tackle a second outing.
