Battlefield 6 Developer Has Hinted The Shooter May Not Indulge In Unrealistic Cosmetics
The team behind Battlefield 6 has strongly hinted that the upcoming shooter may not implement unrealistic cosmetics along the lines of rival franchise Call of Duty.
While Battlefield Studios hasn’t gone into major detail on what to expect from its cosmetics offerings, CharlieIntel pointed out a quote from the team that suggests they will be keeping more on the realistic side. “The thing we can say, we are a military shooter in modern times.”

Publisher Electronic Arts announced yesterday that Battlefield 6 will be launching on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 10, 2025. Furthermore, the game will receive a series of Open Beta weekends in August. The company’s CEO, Andrew Wilson, said during its recent earnings call that “we’re all in as as company” on Battlefield 6, describing how it views the shooter as a new platform and not a standalone release.
Battlefield 6 is set in 2027 and opens as major European countries have departed NATO after a high-profile assassination has shocked the globe, leaving the US and its allies to contend with the fallout.
