Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Release Date Reportedly Set For September 29

The Xbox mobile app has reportedly leaked the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection release date, confirming the retro fighting game collection will roll out on September 29, 2025.

The Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection release date hasn’t been officially confirmed by Digital Eclipse yet, but since it’s now in the wild, we probably won’t have to wait long for confirmation of that date.

Originally announced during Sony’s June 2025 State of Play broadcast, Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is due out for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The collection features ports of the following games: Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat Advance, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, and Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition.

Not only are these game represented by the original arcade versions (where applicable), but there’s multiple editions available such as the SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Gear Gear, 32X, and GBA ports depending on the title. For example, the original Mortal Kombat is represented by the Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, and Game Gear editions.

Furthermore, all titles included in the collection feature online multiplayer with rollback net code, and there’s heaps of behind-the-scenes content such as interviews with Ed Boon and John Tobias for fans to soak up.
