EA Confirms Battlefield 6 Is Only Coming To Current-Gen Systems & PC
The Battlefield 6 debut trailer was revealed earlier today, and in the midst of all the excitement and destructive environments has emerged one small but crucial detail: EA’s latest shooter is not coming to last-generation systems. If you want to play Battlefield 6 on consoles, then you’ll have to pick it up on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
Battlefield 6 is now available to Wishlist, which confirms that available platforms are PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. It’s probably not surprising at this point that we’re not getting a PS4 and Xbox One version, although having said that, competing shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 isn’t ready to drop those consoles just yet.

EA revealed that the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal will take place on July 31, at which we may get confirmation of the rumoured Open Beta that is apparently set for early August. While Battlefield 6 has yet to receive a launch date, a previous report has claimed that the shooter will arrive on October 10, 2025 alongside standard and Phantom Editions.
Battlefield 6 is launching on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and is developed by a collection of major studios under EA known as Battlefield Studios, which include Criterion Games and DICE.
