“Everyone Gather! DJ Pikachu Live” Pokémon Presents pre-show announced (UPDATE)

Earlier this week, The Pokémon Company shared a mysterious teaser image featuring Pikachu and what appeared to be some kind of DJ booth. Now we know that it was indeed a DJ booth, as they’ve officially announced what that image was a tease for. It turns out that there’ll be a special pre-show event for the upcoming Pokémon Presents show called “Everyone Gather! DJ Pikachu Live”.

This pre-show will take place exactly one hour before the big Pokémon Presents presentation on July 22nd, 2025 (that’s 8pm Eastern Time). We still don’t really know what the pre-show will entail, but it looks like Pikachu will be spinning some tunes. It’s also not clear if this is leading up to a game announcement of some kind, or if it’s all just for fun.

In addition, The Pokémon Company shared some cute new artwork of Chikorita and Pikachu, celebrating the fact that the Pokémon Presents is just three days away. Check that out below.

UPDATE: The Pokémon Company has shared another detail about the DJ Pikachu pre-show. Apparently, the more people who say “Pikachu” in the live chat as the show airs, the more Pikachus will appear on screen. To illustrate this, they shared a new image of more Pikachus gathering to hear the music, plus another countdown illustration featuring Tepig. You can check both out below.
