Donkey Kong Bananza players have already completely cleared out the game’s opening areas
Some games just really bring out the completionist in you. We’ve all had those moments where we get so absorbed in collecting every item or clearing out every section of a map that we forget what the actual point of the game is supposed to be. Donkey Kong Bananza feels like it was designed to bring out this feeling, and some players are already sharing the results online.
You can’t destroy literally everything you see in Bananza, but there is a TON of destructible terrain covering every area of the game. Most players are going to want to curb their instincts to clear out every corner they can find, lest they get stuck spending hours on clean-up duty in the very first level of the game. Of course, for some players, that will be part of the fun.
Such is the case for at least a few Reddit users who proudly shared their progress online:
Players like these have reported spending hours in the opening stages alone, doing their best to destroy and collect everything in sight. There is something strangely awe inspiring about seeing these sublayers stripped completely bare, and it must be a satisfying accomplishment.
Be warned though – your destruction progress is not saved if you leave an area and come back, so you might just have to start all over again if you’re not careful…
