AEW Collision 6/26/2025
*Full disclosure, tonight’s recap is very late. It’s 1am, and I just got home from the MLW event at the Melrose Ballroom in NYC. MJF showed up and attacked Mistico! Support MLW!*
From the accesso Showare Center in Kent, Washington! FTR and Stokely are here to address The OutRunners. Dax says their schtick will grow old, and the fans will forget about them. The OutRunners should have just hung on to FTR’s coattails, but they want to have fun, and it’s going to hurt them in the long run. Top Guys, out.
Truth Magnum grabs the mic and says they sure do like to have fun, but they were put on this planet to wrestle… and to kick FTR’s ass! Next week, at Dynamite 300, it’s on!
Match #1. The Patriarchy w/ Kip Sabian & Mother Wayne vs. Bryan Keith & Big Bill
Wayne and Keith to start. Back elbow from Wayne and a kick to the face… followed by a slap. Keith fights back with a slap and a hard chop of his own, forcing Wayne to tag the big man. Bill uses his strength early and tosses Christian to the outside, where Keith follows up with a cannonball off the apron and we’re going to commercial. Patriarchy are in control, keeping Keith in their corner. Snap suplex by Wayne and a two count. Christian in and Keith tries to fight back, but Christian cuts him off with a kick to the stomach and a falling reverse DDT. Two count. Christian wants the Killswitch but Keith shoves him off and their heads collide. Bill gets the tag and clears the ring with clotheslines and avalanches in the corner. Big boot to a jumping Wayne. Christian tries to spear Bill but Bill leap frogs him and hits the big boot! Black Hole Slam to Wayne! Christian gets sent into Wayne and dumped over the top. Discus lariat by Keith and a Northern Light’s Suplex gets a two count. Sabian gets up on the apron so Bill follows him out of the ring and dumps hin into the front row. Roll up by Wayne with the tights for two. Ripcord knee to the face by Keith. Spinning Liger Bomb only gets two as Mama Wayne provides the distraction. Keith runs into a boot from Wayne as Wayne goes to the top, but Wayne drills him with a headbutt. Keith wants another Liger Bomb but Christian spears him mid-move. High kick by Wayne and that’ll do it.
Winners: The Patriarchy
Rating: **3/4. Fine tag match that’s going to build The Patriarchy going forward. I need more Big Bill.
Christian and Wayne clearly set their sights on the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Speaking of championships…
Match #2. Brody King & Templario vs. Hechicero & Rocky Romero
Interesting pairing here from the Don Callis Family. Hechicero tris to goad Brody into the ring, but first an arm drag by Templario… and a head scissors. Rising knee by Hechicero in the corner but Brody can get a quick tag in the match, and he does. Rocky wants the tag. and he gets it. Rocky hits the ropes but Brody doesn’t budge. Hechicero pulls Brody to the apron, allowing Rocky to dropkick him and take control. Hechicero puts the boots to Brody, who’s now slumped in the corner. Brody runs through a double clothesline and shoulder blocks both men. Templario gets the tag and comes off the top with a crosbody to Hechicero. Brody body slams Rocky on top of him. Now Templario on both guys! Two count… and a commercial. We’re back and Brody is chopping everyone’s chest off. Double avalanche to both men by Brody. CANNONBALLLLLLL to Hechicero but Rocky breaks up the pin. Templario gets the tag and they try for the Hart Attack, but Rocky low bridges Brody. Hechicero leg laces Templario, who’s fighting for his life out here. Eventually Templario gets to the ropes, and we break the hold. Double tags. Rocky tries to chop Brody but it doesn’t work, and Brody drops him with one hand. Brody misses an avalanche and Hechicero locks in a rear naked choke over the rope. Templario comes off the top with a double stomp! Brody clotheslines Hechicero to the outside, where Templario follows with a Sasuke Special. Ganso Bomb to Rocky!
Winners: Brody King & Templario
Rating: **3/4. Two solid tags to start off this show. Brody seems to be on his way to bigger and better things than the tag team division.
A highlight reel of Mercedes Mone is shown.
Toni Storm is with Mina Shirakawa and Luther. Storm is showing the effects of her beating at the hands of Mone, and she’s angry, but Mina wants the first shot at Mone. Storm agrees. It’s Mina and Mercedes next week at Dynamite 300
Match #3. Megan Bayne w/ Penelope Ford vs. Vertvixen
Huge boot by Bayne to start. Shoulders in the corner by Bayne and I don’t think this one will last long. Hammer throw and an avalanche in the corner. Butterfly suplex by Bayne. Vertvixen tries to fight from underneath, chopping Bayne and connecting with a high kick. Bayne responds with a KO blow. Diving lariat by Bayne and Fate’s Descent finishes this one.
Winner: Megan Bayne
Rating: NR
Anthony Bowens said he needed to re-do their strategy for next week, so he sent Billy Gunn home. Bowens wants to qualify for the Casino Gauntlet match next week.
Match #4. AEW TNT Championship: Adam Cole (c) vs. Josh Alexander w/ Trent
Alexander powers Cole around the ring early, forcing him to the buckle with a front head lock. Takeover by Alexander and we reset. Chops by Alexander but Cole forces him back to the corner with some elbows. Cole fakes a superkick and goes to the knee, thinks about a Panama Sunrise, but eats an anti-air elbow. Cole rolls to the apron and Alexander hits a crossbody block to the back that sends him to the floor. Commercial. Alexander runs into a superkick in the corner and we’re back. Clotheslines and back elbows by Cole, finishing with a pump kick. Alexander fights out of a fireman’s carry but eats another pump kick. Ushgaroshi by Cole gets two. Alexander blocks a brainbuster but can’t escape a backstabber. Another two count. Alexander counters the Panama Sunrise with a flapjack. You Can’t Escape by Alexander (sans moonsault) and a King Kong Knee to the back of the neck. Two count. Alexander thinks piledriver but Cole widens his base, so Alexander throws him over his shoulder and carries him up to the top rope. Both guys seated on the top now and Cole is able to elbow him to the mat. Panama Surnise! One, two, no! Cole lowers the knee pad and tries to Lower the Boom, but Alexander just drops face-first to the mat. Ankle pick by Alexander and he locks in the toe hold on Cole’s injured ankle! Cole tries to up kick his way out of it and does. Alexander ducks an enziguiri and German suplexes Cole, bridging, for two. Elbow by Alexander but Cole flips out of a powerbomb. Superkick by Cole. One to the back of the head. Cole Lowers the Boom for the win!
Winner and STILL AEW TNT Champion: Adam Cole
Rating: ***3/4. Just a darn good pro wrestling match. Cole outlasted the bigger, stronger man and was able to come out on top. The Paragon feels a little cold lately so getting Cole on TV for a long match is a smart move.
Ricochet shows up in the back, and AR Fox wonders why he left him in the ring during the tag match. The Gates of Agony jump Fox from behind and it seems like Ricochet has found his stablemates.
