Sony had previously required that its PlayStation PC ports required a PSN account, which attracted a lot of criticism from gamers as it wasn’t just limited to multiplayer games, but single-player titles too.
Back in January this year, Sony revealed that it was changing its approach to linking PSN accounts to PC games, which would become ‘optional’ for select titles. At the time, there were still a number of titles that required a PSN account, including Days Gone, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, God of War, SackBoy: A Big Adventure, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
Sony’s Hermen Hulst recently stated that it is taking a ‘very thoughtful‘ approach to how it selects what titles come to the PC going forward.
