Bloober Team Confirms Silent Hill 2 Remake PS5 Pro Patch Is Still In The Pipeline
Silent Hill 2 Remake is still set to receive an update to improve its performance on PS5 Pro, developer Blooper Team has revealed.
“We’re working with the publisher on a solution and will share more details as soon as we have them,” the company said in a statement to Eurogamer.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was given PS5 Pro support late last year, although it came with a number of unwanted technical issues that have lingered despite Bloober Team releasing a patch in an attempt to iron them out. Folk had assumed that Bloober Team had abandoned plans to continue fixing these issues, but the above statement has at least reassured fans that a fix is on the way.

Silent Hill 2 Remake greatly expands on the 2001 PS2 version with the addition of new areas and cutscenes, as well as revamping iconic locations such as Brookhaven Hospital and Lakeview Hotel by introducing all-new puzzles. Whereas in the original game there might have been one major riddle to solve in a particular area, Silent Hill 2 Remake introduces multiple, small puzzles that interlink with the core conundrum, so even veterans will experience something fresh.
Bloober Team released Silent Hill 2 Remake in October 2024 for PS5 and PC, and the game has sold over two million copies worldwide as of January 2025. You can read our full review here.
