Bungie and NetEase Games’ upcoming Destiny: Rising mobile game has opened up global pe-registrations on the App Store.

Pre-registrations will be made available on the Google Play Store at a later date. Android users can alternatively pre-register now on the game’s official website.

To incentivise early registrations, there are plans to distribute a range of in-game rewards based on the total number of registered players by launch. Those rewards span five target milestones, beginning with 500,000 and rising up to 10 million.

If 10m pre-registrations are reached, all early players will receive an “Exotic Ornament”.

A beta test exclusive to Google Play is set to take place from May 29th in the US and Canada.

As the first mobile game in Bungie’s Destiny franchise, Destiny: Rising will see players adventure into the Red Sea Rift, uncover the Cabal’s sinister plans and aim to break the curse haunting Veridia.

NetEase unveiled the game in October 2024 as a free-to-play title set in the Destiny universe, featuring a shared world, various game modes and a range of playable characters.

Now, new heroes Xuan Wei and Umeko have been revealed, each with their own skills – Xuan Wei being able to channel the fury of Arc and Umeko a master of stealth in the Void.

Both characters will be playable in an upcoming closed beta test exclusive to Google Play in the US and Canada. Starting May 29th, a limited number of players will be among the first to see new narrative expansions, play through new campaign missions and take on Strike maps.

This further testing follows a closed alpha in November 2024, where some players got to test new weapons like a crossbow.

The RPG shooter promises to feature “classic and brand new game modes”, also set to feature environmental puzzles to solve and more casual activities like fishing.
