GameStop will have additional Switch 2 stock online and in-person at launch

Did you miss out on securing a Switch 2 during the great pre-order wars a couple of weeks back? Feeling disappointed that you won’t be in on the fun come launch day? Well don’t give up yet, as GameStop is coming through with another opportunity.

GameStop has announced that they’ll have addition Switch 2 units to offer for those without a pre-order, and they’ll be available launch day, June 5th, 2025. That includes both online and in-person units, so you can try your luck on the internet once again, or brave a brick-and-mortar GameStop to get the job done.

Some GameStop locations are hosting midnight launch events, but it’s unclear if a regular customer could show up at midnight launch to try and get one of the Switch 2 units that hasn’t been pre-ordered. It’s best to call your local GameStop and see what they have to say. No matter what though, it’s nice to know Switch 2 hopefuls will have yet another chance at locking down a unit come launch day!
