Forza Horizon 5 Has Reportedly Moved 1.4 Million Copies On PS5 So Far

Playground Games’ critically acclaimed Forza Horizon 5 launched for the PS5 on April 25, and has already reportedly moved 1.4 million copies on the consoles.

That’s according to data from Rhys Elliot, Head of Marketing Analysis at Alinea Analytics, who noted that it’s selling twice as fast as Seas of Thieves and even faster than Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The launch-aligned data covers two days pre-launch to eight days post-launch (you can see the chart here).

Forza Horizon 5 is a visual powerhouse on Sony’s current-generation console, with a Digital Foundry report stating that PS5 Pro’s Performance Mode for the game features Quality Mode levels of foliage, further adding to the vibrancy of the game’s already-stunning environments.

Originally released for the PC and Xbox Series X/S in December 2021, Forza Horizon 5 is now available for the PS5 and continues Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy, that has seen the format holder release a number of key Xbox titles for rival formats. You can read our review of the game here.
