HAL celebrates Kirby’s 33rd anniversary with new artwork
Time once again to feel incredibly old! On April 27th, 1992, HAL and Nintendo came together to introduce the world to Kirby through Kirby’s Dream Land on the Game Boy. Kirby may not have had his now-signature ability in his debut game, but without Kirby’s Dream Land, we wouldn’t have today’s very special occasion to celebrate!
Kirby’s Dream Land set the character down a path for huge success, which is why we get to recognize Kirby’s 33rd anniversary as of today! In honor of the special anniversary, HAL shared the celebratory artwork you see above. They also share a short-but-sweet message on Kirby as well, which you can read below.
Pam-pam-pam! Kirby-san, please have this cake. ♪ It’s full of cream and topped with strawberries…I worked hard on it, so I hope you enjoy it! Oh! The waiter-hand also came to celebrate! Now, let’s celebrate Kirby together!!
Got a great memory tied to Kirby? Now’s the perfect time to share it!
