We’ve been keeping a very close eye on Remedy’s three-player co-op shooter FBC: Firebreak for a while, so it’s fantastic to see that it’s received a release date for Xbox Game Pass today – and one that’s not very far away at all!
FBC: Firebreak will officially release on June 17th, 2025 at a price of £32.99 / $39.99. In terms of Xbox, it’ll be available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch.
If you haven’t been keeping track, here’s a bit more about FBC: Firebreak:
FBC: Firebreak is a cooperative first-person shooter set within a mysterious federal agency under assault by otherworldly forces. As a years-long siege on the agency’s headquarters reaches its boiling point, only Firebreak— the Bureau’s most versatile unit—has the gear and the guts to plunge into the building’s strangest crises, restore order, contain the chaos, and fight to reclaim control.
Dive into the Federal Bureau of Control’s (FBC) unpredictable and extradimensional headquarters during its darkest—and strangest—hours. As one of the FBC’s fearless first responders, you and your team are on call to confront everything from reality-warping anomalies to otherworldly monsters… no matter the odds. Will you contain the chaos or finally lose control?
Today’s news was announced as part of an FBC: Firebreak showcase on YouTube, which you can watch in its entirety at the top of this article. It was also mentioned that lots of post-launch content in the works, all of which will be free.
Finally, we should also mention that Xbox Game Pass members will have the ability to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition of FBC: Firebreak for £7 / 10, providing access to various in-game skins. The catch, like many Xbox Game Pass upgrades, is that you’ll need to stay subscribed to the service in order to keep accessing the base game.
