South Korean games publisher Neowiz has launched a new indie game development program called Neowiz Quest.

With over $115,000 in prizes, the fund is designed to support story-driven game development that connects themes and characters for a global audience.

The contest is open to all indie game developers, teams, and entrepreneurs at no cost. Any genre or platform is allowed, but commercially released games, including those in Early Access, are not eligible.

Applications must be submitted through the official website before the deadline on Friday, January 16th 2026. Applicants can also update their submissions until the deadline.

Supporting game developers

The publisher said that 10 finalists, including grand prize and other winners, will be selected afterward, with winners announced at an offline awards ceremony on Friday, March 6th, 2026.

Neowiz Quest is the company’s largest developer contest to date, highlighting its commitment to supporting game creators across console, PC, and mobile platforms.

“At Neowiz, we are dedicated to fostering the next wave of game developers who are paving the way for narrative experiences that resonate with audiences worldwide,” said Neowiz co-CEO Seungchul Kim.

“Through Neowiz Quest, we hope to create a supportive environment where creators can focus on developing their games and ignite a fresh and innovative approach to what indie gaming can be.”
