Gears Of War Collection On PS5 Yet Again Rumoured For Xbox Showcase Reveal

Leaker eXtas1s has claimed that Gears of War will be unveiled for the PS5 during the Xbox Showcase this June, doubling down on previous reports that popular action franchise is finally heading to a Sony console.

This is far from the first time we’ve heard chatter about Gears of War coming to the PS5, as rumours have been gathering for months now.

Only last month, eXtas1s said that the collection would be unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase and would be coming to the PS5 day-and-date with its PC and Xbox counterparts. Not long after, X user Detective Seeds stated that the Gears of War Collection would feature PS5 Pro enhancements, but would lack PvP multiplayer elements. Jez Cordon later stated that he’s heard the bundle will feature “Co-op, but not PvP.”

The Gears of War Collection is expected to feature the original Xbox 360 trilogy, namely Gears of War, Gears of War 2, and Gears of War 3. It’s not yet known if Gears of War Judgment will be featured in a possible PS5 collection, and a Windows Central report back in January suggested it’s just Gears of War Ultimate Edition that is heading to Sony’s console.

We’ll just have to wait and see at this point as to what’s in store, but it’s looking very likely Gears of War is heading to PS5 in some form or another.
