Titanfall 3 Is Suddenly Being Rumoured Again, But Apparently It’s ‘Not Real’
Update []: Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb has chimed in on this rumour to state that according to his sources, these specific details about a version of Titanfall 3 are “not real”.
This isn’t real. I’m sorry, it’s not real.
There is a skunkworks team headed up by Titanfall 1 director Steve Fukuda, he’s got a small team over there that is probably messing around with like, games that have titans in them.
Does he have a prototype that has titans in it? I would certainly assume that is a safe thing to think. Now, is that going to get announced in 2025 and released in 2026? No way.
Original Story: Stop us if you’ve heard this one before! Just a couple of years after Respawn insisted that nothing new was in the works in regards to the Titanfall series, a rumour has begun doing the rounds that Titanfall 3 is apparently in development.
This originated a few days ago with two people on social media – YOROTSUKI and Osvaldatore – and the latter has since shared more details suggesting it’s an Unreal Engine 5 project and is “almost complete”. Here’s a look:
Now, as you’d imagine, there’s a lot of questioning going on about the legitimacy of these “leakers”, and we’re not well-versed in the world of Apex Legends and Titanfall leaks, but apparently they’ve been right on various occasions before.
I’ll be honest… even with what people are saying here, I’m struggling to see how Titanfall 3 could be the real deal. It’s always seemed like Respawn has wanted to distance itself from the series since the second game kinda flopped.
What a fantastic surprise it would be though! Titanfall 3 might be releasing in 2026 according to one of these leaks, so if that turns out to be legit, we could playing it in a year’s time. That sounds too good to be true, but you never know…
