Blue Prince Is A Triumph As It Currently Stands As 2025’s Best-Reviewed Game So Far
Dogubomb’s Blue Prince has gotten off to a fantastic start, as reviews of the puzzler have been nothing short of impressive among critics, so much so that it currently ranks as the best-reviewed of the year so far.
On Open Critic, Blue Prince has a 91 rating while on Metacritic it boasts a 92 score. This puts the game higher than other 2025 heavyweights including Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and Monster Hunter Wilds.

Blue Prince sees you embarking on genre-defying quest at Mt. Holly, a manor populated by shifting rooms. Each room hides new challenges and puzzles, with players able to determine what appears behind each door using the drafting mechanic. However, the floor plans for the manor reset each day, so there’s no guarantee you’ll see the same rooms again.
Your progress each day is shaped by the rooms you select to draft and the tools you find within them. Items in the game can be used in a number of creative ways to fuel your exploration deeper into the house, allowing you to adopt unique strategies to combat the challenges that each day brings. Yet, tread wisely – the house resets each dawn, erasing all but the permanent upgrades to your estate blueprint. That is, if you were clever enough to find one!
Blue Prince is due out on April 10, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
